Designer Labels - Hot Sellers
Selling designer handbags, luggage,
wallets and briefcases on eBay and other online auction sites can be
and has proven to be very lucrative.
Auction sellers can range from
individuals selling used handbags acquired at yard sales and/or
thrift stores, to liquidating businesses selling retail store
overstock or inventories of retail stores gone out of business.
Designer handbags, luggage, wallets
and briefcases are not just luxury items or fashion statements, but
necessities.
Every woman needs a handbag to carry
the items they need to have at their fingertips throughout the day.
People need a wallet to carry money,
identification, and credit cards.
People need luggage to carry clothing and other necessities when
they travel.
Business people need briefcases or portfolios to carry work related
documents and electronics.
It is a common belief that people
(especially women) who own and use the established "name" designers
of handbags and such accessories do so for; snob appeal, status
recognition, or to be part of the latest fashion fad.
The truth is that "name" designers are
sought after because of their history and commitment to quality and
use of premium materials and craftsmanship. These designers have a
tradition of never being out of style and continue to produce the
same design lines and signature styles that were popular years ago
which remain popular today.
Buyers that are familiar with any of
the "name" designers, may not be able to afford or are unwilling to
purchase a new designer accessory at a retail store at full retail
price. Because they recognize and appreciate the quality of any
"name" designer accessory, they will purchase a used item for a much
cheaper price. Many have discovered online auction sites to be a
continuous source of good deals.
If you enjoy hunting down bargains at
garage or estate sales, you can really do well with these designer
items. You can buy them for a fraction of their original price at
these sales and sell them for many times what you spent on your
online auctions. You can also look for them at close-out or
liquidation sales.
But before you rush off to find them,
be sure to do your homework. It is very important that you learn how
to identify the genuine designer items and avoid the fakes. Fakes
can get you into trouble because many online auction sites forbid
their sale or place severe restrictions on how they can be described
in your listings. Even if you follow all the rules for listing them,
they don't sell very well.
